Please supply finished artwork on a Macintosh compatible
CD, Zip (100 or 250) or Jaz (1GB) disk and include a colour run out.
Text
Ideally text should be sent via e-mail (enquiries@arberrypink.co.uk).
Alternatively
please provide text on disk. Fax is useful for small alterations but inefficient
for
supplying original text.
MS Word or similar popular wordprocessing packages are usually fine and
can be easily converted, otherwise save as AScii text. Please do not send
Powerpoint documents.
Graphics
Files MUST be Macintosh compatible, formatted using the following software:
QuarkXPress, Macromedia Freehand, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop.
Resolution
Our magazines are printed at 300 dpi (dots per inch). Please provide any
digital pictures accordingly, taking into account any percentage increase
(ie if the picture is to be blown up 150% it needs to be provided at 450dpi
or higher). Please remember that if you provide 72 dpi images they may
look fine on screen but they can only be printed at about a quarter of
their original size.
Corporate colours
Please specify these if appropriate. Pantone colours can be dropped in
and automatically broken up to fit the 4-colour printing process. If you
wish for a different breakdown than the one automatically assigned please
specify.
Embedded graphics
If you have embedded graphics into word processing documents, the original
graphic must also be sent.
Logos
Please supply logos as large as possible and include pantone references.
These can be emailed, please save in Jpeg format.
Photographs
We cannot make great pages from poor photographs. The better the picture,
the better the end result. Glossy photos, slides and transparencies only
please.
